Gurpreet S. Kochar, MD, attended Dayanand Medical College in India, and received his medical degree in 1977. Then, he conducted residencies in general surgery (Christian Medical College, Ludhiana, India), radiation oncology (Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital), internal medicine (Ashington Hospital) and geriatrics and internal medicine (Shotley Bridge Hospital). Upon relocating to the United States, he completed his internal medicine residency, nuclear cardiology training, as well as cardiology fellowship at the Einstein Medical Center/Temple University. He then served a fellowship in invasive and interventional cardiology at the Episcopal Heart Institute. Dr. Kochar received board certification in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease from the American Board of Internal Medicine. He remains a member of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology and the American Heart Association.
